Framed work

He was the painter of the “Happy Life”, relentlessly drawing home scenes, bouquets, couples, gazes: everyday moments, but captured with this potency which awarded him the prestigious Prix de Rome in 1931: a first recognition followed by many others. Nowadays, you can admire his works at the Modern Art Museum of Paris, at the National Museum of Fine Arts of Algiers, in the Chester Dale Collection in the United States, in the Tallis Collection in Australia.
