by Gabriel Zendel (1906 – 1992)

In France, fifteen museums exhibit his works. This is enough to show that this discreet but truly admired painter had a beautiful talent, mastered after a long practice of drawing. Furthermore, for a long time, a Gabriel Zendel Prize was awarded to artists that were like him.
This man who survived the Holocaust loved, as a good engraver and lithographer, the soothing play of interiors, bouquets and still life.
