André Favory (1888-1937)

artiste
André Favory was often admired as the painter of women. Great critics, Louis Vauxelles, Roger Marx, Edmind Jaloux or André Lhote, among others, saluted his work. Alas! Disease took him at the age of forty. Linked to the vivid colours of fauvism, some of his works are exhibited in the museums of Brussels, Grenoble, Le Havre, Moscow, Oslo, Rigo, Stockholm, the National Museum of Modern Art of Paris and in prestigious collections.
