Francis Tailleux (1913-1981)

artiste
Former head curator of the Museum of Modern Art of Paris, Jacques Lassaigne saw in him a gifted artist “who strives to pierce the secret of substance, of the complexity of life”. Actually, he was revealed at thirteen at the National Society of Fine Arts exhibition–his age was kept a secret. French museum bought his works when he was only 23 years old. Nevertheless, Francis Tailleux quickly chose to live outside of time, to solely dedicate himself to his work. Art for art’s sake, far from the press and trends. An artist to rediscover.
